Methos is another one of our greatest mysteries. His existence
was questionable for many centuries, but now, his existence has been proven. He
is the oldest existing Immortal. During his time at a University in Paris,
Pierson uncovered the "Methos Chronicles" which documents much of history (his
and others). Methos beheaded his first Immortal 5000 years ago. He was a member
of the, up-until-now, ficticious Four Horsemen. He was "Death". These group of
men, who rode on horses piliging towns, were four Immortals. Their trail left
many dead and many others suffering. But Methos has turned from his evil ways
(or at least it seems that way). He has said several times: "Live long,
grow stronger". It looks like he has lived by that over the many centuries
Duncan
MacLeod is probably one of the most well known and highly respected
Immortals.Born in the Highlands of Scotland in 1592, Duncan was mortally wounded
in battle and was banished from his family and village soon after. He was taken
under wing by his elder kinsman Connor MacLeod. Through the centuries, Duncan
has been taught by many brilliant masters over the years, some Immortal as well
as mortal. One such teacher was Hideo Koto, a mortal. It was Hideo who taught
him his skills in martial arts as well as the owner of the katana which MacLeod
bears now. Duncan, unlike his elder kinsman, does not chase after the game, but
instead waits for others to come to him. Another fact that makes Duncan stand
out is his unwillingness to take on other names. For this reason, Duncan's name
turns up through all the years. Duncan is a great warrior and for that reason
is felt to probably be the one to win the prize. That almost didn't hold water
after he encountered the " Dark Quickening", after killing Kol-T'ek. It is still
a mystery to us as to how he survived it. Duncan has also had many loves, but
none so special to him as Tessa Noel, who was killed along with Richard Ryan in
a mugging. Since that time, he has befriended many other mortals, but his
current love interest appears to be the deceptive and seductive Immortal thief,
Amanda. Duncan is still a participant in the game and still seeks out "The
Prize".
